Lopetegui arrival at West Ham leads to 2+2 conclusion – All seems a bit obvious

Julen Lopetegui's imminent arrival at West Ham United appears to have led to inevitable links to Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

La Colina de Nervión cover the links today and how the pair 'may meet again' following their time working together at Sevilla earlier in their careers.

They explain that given the financial situation at Sevilla, big name departures are expected and En-Nesyri is one of the players who could help alleviate their economic problems.

He's entering the final year of his deal and so now is the time to sell if they don't want to lose him on a free, so at this point a transfer seems inevitable.

The belief is that his future could be linked to Lopetegui, who worked with the player at Sevilla and is now set to arrive at West Ham.

A striker is likely to be on his list this summer and the club have targeted the Moroccan on several occasions in the past and a reunion with Lopetegui could be logical.

He managed 36 goals and three assists in 115 games under the Spanish coach at Sevilla, his best tally under any manager to date, and the belief is Lopetegui 'appears on the horizon' looking at a potential deal for West Ham.

It all appears a little bit like those in Seville are putting two and two together and getting an obvious outcome rather than there being any genuine substance to the idea, though.

Afterall, En-Nesyri has already rejected West Ham on multiple occasions so he's clearly not keen on the move and Lopetegui would need serious powers of convincing to change that.
